MSTN Group Participated in the Hangzhou Shipping Decarbonization and Green Marine Fuels Conference

Release time:2026-05-26

Recently, the third Shipping Decarbonization and Green Marine Fuels Conference was held in Hangzhou. Mrs. Liu Na and Mr. Wu Pengyong, deputy general managers of MSTN Group, attended the event as invited guests and explored new pathways for low-carbon transformation with global shipping experts and corporate representatives. During the conference, Liu Na delivered a keynote speech, highlighting MSTN Group's independently developed rail-wing wind power generation technology and biomass-based green methanol production technology, offering innovative solutions for shipping decarbonization.

This conference focused on core topics such as global decarbonization trends in shipping, innovation in green fuel technology, and the implementation of industry standards and applications. It has attracted domestic and foreign shipping companies, energy giants, research institutions, and representatives from upstream and downstream of the industry chain to participate and jointly promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the shipping industry. With the continuous promotion of the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) carbon emission targets, marine fuels such as green methanol and green ammonia, as well as advanced energy-saving technologies, have become the focus of industry attention. This conference provides an efficient platform for technical exchange and industrial cooperation.

During the conference, Mrs. Liu Na gave a speech on the theme of "Innovative Green Technologies to Support a Zero Carbon Future for Shipping". She pointed out that decarbonization in the shipping industry has entered a critical period, and technologies that combine high efficiency, energy conservation, and low-carbon environmental protection are the core support for transformation. MSTN Group has been deeply involved in the fields of environmental protection and new energy for many years. Relying on its technological research and development advantages, it has created two core achievements: orbital wing wind power generation technology and biomass green methanol production technology, which precisely meet the decarbonization needs of shipping.

When introducing the technology of orbital wing wind power generation, Mrs. Liu Na stated that this technology breaks through the limitations of traditional wind power and adopts a unique orbital wing structure design, significantly improving wind energy capture efficiency and power generation stability. It has the advantages of strong adaptability to low wind speeds, small footprint, and low operation and maintenance costs. It can efficiently produce green electricity, provide clean energy support for green fuel production, ship auxiliary power supply, etc., and help reduce carbon emissions throughout the entire shipping chain.

Regarding the production technology of biomass green methanol, Mrs. Liu Na introduced that this technology uses renewable biomass such as agricultural and forestry waste as raw materials, and through core processes such as gasification, purification, and synthesis, produces high-quality green methanol. The carbon emissions throughout the life cycle are significantly lower than traditional fuels, which meets the international certification standards for marine green fuels. As an ideal alternative fuel for ships, green methanol can be adapted to methanol dual fuel ships, effectively reducing carbon emissions from shipping and helping ship owners meet carbon reduction policy requirements such as the EU ETS. This technology can build an integrated solution for decarbonization in shipping that combines green electricity and green methanol.

During the conference, Mr. Wu Pengyong, had in-depth discussions with attendees on topics such as the application of decarbonization technology in shipping, cooperation in the green methanol industry, and market promotion. They provided a detailed introduction to the group's technological advantages, project layout, and cooperation models, and reached preliminary cooperation intentions with multiple enterprises, laying the foundation for future industrial collaboration.

As a national high-tech enterprise, MSTN Group has always adhered to the concept of "innovation driven and green development", focusing on environmental governance and research and development of new energy technologies. It has accumulated rich technical and project experience in wind power, green fuels, carbon capture and other fields. In the future, MSTN will continue to increase research and development investment, continuously optimize the technology of orbital wing wind power generation and biomass green methanol, accelerate the industrialization of technology, deepen cooperation with shipping industry chain enterprises, and contribute more "MSTN strength" to the global shipping industry's green and low-carbon transformation.
